Joan Garvin is a photographer trained at the International Center of Photography in New York City, and a member of the American Society of Media Photographers. She is an award winner in ASMP's Image 08 and Image 11, as well as Fotoweek DC, all international, juried competitions.
Joan's photographs are featured in "High Line: The Inside Story of New York City's Park in the Sky" written by The High Line founders and published in 2011.
Her High Line photographs are also included in “Photobook NYC,” a special edition sponsored by PDN magazine celebrating the people, places and things of New York City, published in 2010.
